Founding Product Designer

About the role

Kalaamy sits at the intersection of a professional broadcast tool and a quiet congregation experience. You will establish the product design practice, spend time with mosque teams, and turn demanding live workflows into interfaces that feel considered, humane, and dependable.

What you'll do

• Lead product design from early research through polished, production-ready interaction design.
• Create a durable visual and interaction system across operator, display, account, and public experiences.
• Prototype and test live translation workflows with real operators and listeners.
• Work closely with engineering and hold a high bar for the details that reach production.

What we're looking for

• A portfolio showing strong systems thinking and excellent interface craft.
• Experience designing complex tools, realtime products, or operational software.
• Confidence moving between user research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
• The ability to explain design decisions with clarity and care.

Helpful, not required

• Experience with broadcast, audio, accessibility, localization, or multilingual products.
• Comfort contributing directly to frontend code or design systems.
